Social Media Packages

Use of social media for business is continually increasing. For companies, it’s important to go where your users are. There are four main components: Twitter, Facebook, blogs, and YouTube. Pinterest is also an important platform. Each serves a different purpose.

Twitter provides an excellent method to broadcast information, share expertise, and converse with customers. Facebook is great for building community and spreading the word. Blogs act as the hub of your social media setup. YouTube channels provide an easy way to share video content about your company, product, or related information.

For a quick look at what part each of these components plays and how they work together to create your online presence, see Components of an Online Presence.

Twitter

Twitter is used to broadcast information, share expertise, and converse with customers and those in your industry. It’s an excellent business tool.

There’s an art to using Twitter, believe it or not. There’s also an etiquette. We’re well-versed in both. We can do the research necessary so you can present content to your followers.

Updates

These would be research only. For instance, finding content that you could share with users. These would not be “engagement” tweets. You would need to handle that. For instance, we would find articles of interest to your followers, such as blog posts for your industry. It would not include @mentions to converse with others.

Includes

- Establish reputation as content authority: tweets from original sources
- Build your following: retweets
- Maximize exposure: schedule tweets

We also check each article before tweeting to make sure it’s quality content. We don’t look at headlines alone. Also, we use bit.ly as the URL shortener for its tracking capability, and ensure that the URL is listed correctly in the tweet before sending.

Does Not Include

Engagement: discussions with others. We cannot represent your thoughts.

Requirements

Our client of choice is HootSuite. We would have to be set up as a team member to be able to tweet on the account.

Facebook

Is there any doubt that Facebook is an important social media tool to consider? It’s important to be where your users are. Many are in Facebook. A presence there enables you to serve your information directly to your customers right in their home feed. That also provides opportunity for your message and products receive word-of-mouth exposure.

Status Updates

This is the same as Twitter. It’s research-based only. What’s nice about Facebook is that you can provide more information, as there are more than 140 characters available for a status. It’s easy to add video, links with graphics, and easily allow people to comment. Plus, the information is before your audience for a longer period than a tweet. You should have a presence on both Twitter and Facebook. They have different purposes.

Like our Twitter items, Facebook status items we provide are fact-based and not representing an opinion. You would be responsible for reviewing comments and responding. (That’s the engagement factor coming through.)

Requirements

We would need some kind of admin access to your page to post it directly. Or, we could send you information via email and you could paste it into your page.

Page Design

Would need admin access to the page.

YouTube

Use of video is definitely on the rise, as indicated in the article listed below. YouTube is the second-largest search engine. It’s also owned by Google, and channels place higher in search results. We can set up a channel for you and find videos to add to the channel and in blog posts.

Blog Posts

Blogs act as the hub of your social media setup and should be updated regularly. You can provide long posts on varied topics, enable comments, set up email mailing lists – all sorts of features.

The schedule above bases posts on 300-600 words. Longer posts typically involve research and longer writing time. Depending on additional word count, pricing varies.

There are also different types of blog posts. For details, see Blog Post Writing and Content Strategy.

Blog Design and Development

In addition to writing posts, we can create a site for you. We use StudioPress themes exclusively. After reviewing your requirements, we can help determine which theme might work best for your situation, work on content with you, and get to work. As this varies, there are also no packages for website development. For information about features we include in basic design packages, see Website and Blog Development.

This site uses the Genesis framework and Agency child theme from StudioPress.
